Daniel Treger joined the firm as an associate in May, 1996. David Haines Originally from Portland, Oregon, David Haines attended the University of Oregon, graduating with a B.A. in Russian and East European Studies. David moved to Boston in 2003, where he studied at Boston University School of Law. During law school, David served as an Articles Editor for the Public Interest Law Journal, presided as a judge for the school’s Moot Court Competition, was a Class Representative to the Student Bar Association, and represented B.U. at the ABA Arbitration Competition Nationals. David also took part in the Boston University Civil Litigation Program, where he represented underprivileged individuals before various tribunals, and graduated in 2006, having earned a litigation concentration with honors. Before joining Phillips & Angley, David worked for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr.
Nicholas P. Shapiro joined the firm as an associate in May, 2011. His areas of practice include Zoning, Land Use and Real Estate Litigation and Real Estate Transactions and Contracts. He is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Shapiro served as judicial law clerk to the Hon. Joseph A. Trainor, Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court, and as judicial law clerk to the Hon. Harry M. Grossman, Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Land Court. Mr. Shapiro received a J.D., cum laude, in 2008 from Suffolk University Law School, Boston, Massachusetts. While in law school, he published two case comments as a member of Suffolk’s Transnational Law Review: Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations v. City of New York, 127 S.
